The Computer Science Program prepares students with the neccessary skils to be able to code in Java Script. Topics include problem solving, design strategies and methodologies, organization of data (data structures) and approaches to processing data (algorithms).
Project Lead The Way
Empasis: Engineering
Program Entry: 9th Grade
The Pathway To Engineering Program is a hands-on, project based, curriculum where students learn how to use the same industry-leading 3D design software that’s used by companies like Intel, Lockheed Martin, and Pixar. Students design, test and construct circuits and devices such as smart phones and tablets, and work collaboratively on such projects.
Surgical technicians
Emphasis: Healthcare
Program Entry: 9th Grade
Often called operating room technicians, they assist in surgical operations under the supervision of surgeons or registered nurses. Before an operation, they help prepare the room by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, sterile drapes and steril solutions.
carpentry and construction
Emphasis: Construction
Program Entry: 9th and 10th Grade
This program prepares students for employment as a carpenter in the residential or commercial field. This program also prepares students for post secondary training in an apprenticeship program or college in construction management or architecture areas.
Carpentry students also earn their OSHA 10, CPR/AED cards and are prepared to take the Green Advantage test for an extra nationally recognized certification.
